When we began, the interior of this beautiful Tudor home was having an identity crisis.

The generously proportioned living room had the previous owners’ lemon yellow walls and Victorian details.  And, the over-sized, curved sofa and single armchair were not promoting cozy conversation.

We selected richer colors for the walls, and painted out the picture moldings.  I also placed the window treatments flush to the fireplace wall on either side to downplay the off-center fireplace.  We chose new furniture to coordinate with the clients beloved rugs.  The furniture is on a smaller scale, but still in proportion to the room. With all of these new richer colors, we went light on the window treatments to highlight the fantastic windows and views.  And the biggest wow is the custom designed fireplace mantle.  More on that later…
