the Sarah project: dr lighting round II

~ the good stuff always goes fast ~

love this lantern fixture above…. regal & delicious.  the details will work beautifully with Sarah’s tapered arches

love the rope, the detailed arms and bobeche {that’s right, bobeche.  look it up}

bright and textural would look lovely against the dusty lavender walls

unique shape, amazing finish… yum.

a simple drum.  {don’t do it man.  take a leap.  have a little faith.  take the road less traveled.  dare.}

Sarah is ready for lighting, but the adorable fixture that we found a while back is no longer available {is this a running theme?}  so click on these lights for some appropriately sized options

nothing has more impact on the mood of a room than lighting.  a master bedroom should have ambient and task lighting, and always, all on dimmers.

bedside table lamps below, found here

small lamp for on top of the dresser found here, but switch out the burlap shade for a natural linen one

floor lamp for next to the sofa, found here

and, always, always vary your textures and finishes for a much more interesting room.

nighty, night.

click here for a reminder of where these lamps will be placed.

this inspirational image from Met Home is just lovely:

what a great trundle bed disguised as a high end sofa.  the coffee table was clearly something else in another life, and brings soul and shape to the space.  the mix of leather, metal, wood, fabrics and flooring textures work beautifully together.  i’ll be hunting down a wall color similar to this, so soothing & subtle.  …and the wall panel.  not sure if it is a screen mounted flat, or just stretched fabric over a frame, but it is a great dash of pattern and lightness.
